For Young Men Ages 10-13

Having positive male role models is crucial for young men, particularly those growing up in fatherless households. Research indicates that nearly one-fourth of children in the United States grow up without a father figure. The absence of a male influence can have significant negative effects on a boy's life. Studies show that boys who lack positive male role models are more likely to experience difficulties in various aspects of their development, including academic performance, social relationships, emotional well-being, and behavioral issues.

Positive male role models provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping young men navigate challenges and make positive life choices. They offer mentorship and serve as examples of responsible behavior, instilling values like resilience, perseverance, and respect.

Without such role models, young men may struggle to develop a strong sense of identity and may be more susceptible to negative influences. Therefore, fostering positive male role models is essential for the holistic development and well-being of young men in fatherless households.
